After a brain-melting NFL playoffs, Super Bowl LVI between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams is coming to SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 13. In the run-up to the big game, the Super Bowl Experience Presented by Lowes for fans will be at the L.A. Convention Center on Feb. 5 (Saturday), Feb. 6 (Sunday), Feb. 10 (Thursday), Feb. 11 (Friday) and Feb. 12 (Saturday).

Taking Metro is a good option to reach both events to avoid traffic and limited parking.

Super Bowl Experience at L.A. Convention Center

The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee and Metro are teaming up to deliver guests up to 50 percent off their admission price for the Super Bowl Experience event at the L.A. Convention Center — a unique fan experience leading up to Super Bowl LVI.

Fans who take Metro to the Los Angeles Convention Center will receive 50% off their general admission ticket at the box office (excluding the SBXtra fast pass). Fans must show their TAP Pass at the Super Bowl Experience Presented by Lowe’s box office to receive the discount.

The L.A. Convention Center is accessible via Metro by taking the A Line (Blue) train, E Line (Expo) train or J Line (Silver) bus and exiting at Pico Station. The Convention Center is one block away on Figueroa Street.

To plan your trip, download the Transit app  or visit www.metro.net . Regular fares on Metro are $1.75 and include two hours of free transfers. To pay your fare, TAP cards can be purchased from TAP vending machines at all Metro Rail stations. Riders can also use their smartphones as a TAP card by downloading the TAP app , available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store .

A limited number of commemorative Super Bowl TAP Cards (at right) will be available for sale at Metro Customer Centers starting Friday morning. A limited number of cards will also be available at the Metro booth at the Super Bowl Experience beginning Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Fans are highly encouraged to consider taking Metro to avoid traffic and very limited parking — the Convention Center’s West Hall, South Hall, and Venice parking garages unavailable for public parking from Friday, February 4, through Monday, February 14 (other parking options are here).

The Super Bowl Experience offers fans an authentic professional football experience, including opportunities for player autographs, photos with the Vince Lombardi trophy, interactive games, sponsor displays and giveaways, youth football shops, and the NFL Shop presented by Visa.

Fans can also reach the Convention Center via Metro Bike Share . A one-way trip is just $1.75 for every 30 minutes. Passes can be purchased  online , through  taptogo.net , in  the Metro Bike Share app  or at any  Metro Bike Share kiosk .

Pick up a Metro Bike at any of the 160+ stations in the downtown area. The closest stations to the Convention Center are at Figueroa & Pico, Pico & Flower and Figueroa & 11th.

Go Metro to the Super Bowl Game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood

The beautiful new home to the L.A. Rams and L.A. Chargers in the City of Inglewood will host the Bengals and Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

To avoid traffic congestion and very limited parking near SoFi Stadium for Super Bowl LVI, Metro will be running its free bus shuttle between the C Line (Green) train’s Hawthorne/Lennox Station and the stadium on Sunday, Feb. 13.

•The C Line train runs between the cities of Norwalk and Redondo Beach. From Downtown Los Angeles, riders can reach the C Line by taking either the J Line (Silver) express bus and transferring to the C Line at Harbor Freeway Station or taking the A (Blue) Line train and transferring to the C Line at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station.

•Shuttle buses to SoFi Stadium will run every five to eight minutes from Hawthorne/Lennox Station beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. local time. After the game, buses will run very frequently until crowds are cleared.

•To reach the the shuttle bus, riders should exit the station and board buses on northbound Hawthorne Boulevard. Shuttle buses will drop off and pick up riders at the Purple shuttle zone at SoFi Stadium — near the corner of Prairie Avenue and Arbor Vitae Street.

•To pla n your trip to the game, Metro suggests that riders download Transit  app, Metro’s official app.

•There are also 5,365 parking spots available at C Line Stations — with paid parking at some stations and free parking at others. Parking rates for the Super Bowl are as follows:

•The SoFi shuttle bus is free but regular fares apply on other Metro buses and trains.

Metro’s regular fares are $1.75 for a one-way trip with free transfers for two hours. Fares can be paid with TAP cards. TAP cards can be purchased from TAP vending machines at all Metro Rail stations or Metro Ambassadors that will be located at key stations. Riders can also use their smartphones as a TAP card by downloading the TAP app , available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store .

The following Metro Bus lines also offer service to SoFi Stadium and operate every day:

The city of Gardena’s GTrans bus also offers express bus service to SoFi Stadium from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center every Sunday. Harbor Gateway Transit Center has 980 parking spaces for $5 that is payable onsite.  For more information, visit ridegtrans.com/line/7x .

i would highly recommend that LA Metro graphics department add the location of SoFi Stadium and the Shuttle Bus route so potential riders can visualize the connections to the Metro C line.

We just added that map!

If tickets to the game are $7000 why would anyone who can afford those tickets take public transit?

No matter the price of tickets, parking for the game is limited at the stadium and transit has certainly helped fans get to prior Super Bowls in other cities.

If LA metro is to succeed it needs to be a general public good, not just a welfare service for the poor. In NYC people of all walks of life take the subway because it works, problems aside. No reason why the same shouldn’t eventually be possible in LA.

And it’s comments like this that contribute to the stigma that “transit is only for the poor” in America.

Maybe stop looking at Transit as a utility for the poor and rather an alternative service for all. . . That pay the fare.

Why do I get the feeling the trains will be unusually clean on Super Bowl Sunday just how there’s coincidentally a lot less homeless encampments out around the So-Fi stadium all of sudden?

I think temporarily opening the K Line for the Super Bowl would of been cool. Like how MTS’ Blue Line temporarily opened their UTC extension last summer

Going to need to clean the trains and bump up security. Never seen filthier metro trains than LA last week.

Do you have more information on how the half-off Super Bowl Experience at the Convention Center is going to work? Is it a combo-ticket or do you present your metro card at the door? Thanks! $5 parking at Crenshaw Green Line Station!? I was selling those spots for $50 last week! Just kidding . . .

Show your TAP card at the box office at LA Convention Center. Have fun. Should be a great game on the 13th.

Since Paul Brown Stadium is not available, why not use Cincinnati Convention Center like they’re doing in L.A.?

When will the cards be available at the Union Station customer center? I heard someone went there yesterday and the staff had no idea about the card, and from what I remember, the article said that it will be available starting Wednesday before the article was edited.

Waiting to get confirmation of date. We’ll post as soon as we do on our Twitter account and update the blog.

In the meantime, will they be back at the experience?

The cards will be available at the Experience while supplies last.

Just saw the article got updated last night! I’m heading to the East LA Customer center now! Thank you!

What a joke it was at East LA.

I was there before the opening time, and when I got in after it opened, the staff told me that they never received any of them!

Alright, for some weird reason, I was ONLY ABLE to get them this afternoon for some weird reason at both Union Station & East LA.
