WTA Skills Capital grant for manufacturing
WESTFIELD — Manufacturing technology head instructor Ron Nadeau and Career Technical Education Director Peter Taloumis met in the manufacturing shop at Westfield Technical Academy on July 12 for the arrival of new equipment purchased with a Skills Capital Grant of $246,306 that was awarded in the spring.
The grant program, which began under the Baker-Polito administration in 2015, helps purchase and install equipment and related improvements and renovations to support vocational and technical training in career technical education programs aligned to regional economic and workforce development priorities.
